Avoid danger whenever it is safe and possible. Move away from the source of the threat and follow established evacuation procedures and instructions from school personnel or emergency responders.
Deny access to your location when evacuation is not possible. Follow the school's lockdown procedures, stay in a secure area, and avoid actions that could unnecessarily expose your location.
Defend yourself and others only when necessary to protect life from an immediate threat and when safer options are no longer available.
